Position Descriptor:
Indulkana Anangu School is located on the APY Lands in the far North of South Australia. Following the school values of Kunpu wanganara nintiringkupai (strong, smart and respectful learners,) we provide education for the Indulkana Community through our Family Centre, Preschool and Reception to Year 12 classes. We nurture and help our students to develop skills as leaders of tomorrow in Western and Anangu Culture.
We are seeking a passionate educator to join us as a Student Wellbeing Leader. You'll be responsible for leading the Wellbeing Committee, and developing and facilitating wellbeing programs for Anangu students, creating a safe, inclusive learning environment. You'll help foster their social and emotional skills, enabling positive and confident engagement in learning. You'll provide targeted interventions, case management, counselling, and referrals for students, staff, and families, particularly focusing on attendance. This role requires collaboration with the Anangu Coordinator to guide teachers on trauma-informed practices and other preventative wellbeing programs, and has a maximum of a .5 teaching role, dependant on the needs of the school.
