About the Role The City of Ryde is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to lead the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team (known internally as Senior Coordinator WHS). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the streamlining of and engagement with our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing systems, policies, and programs. This is a hands on role that will involve coaching management and all staff in contemporary WHS practices.
About You This highly collaborative leadership role that sees you being a change agent, leading significant cultural transformation across the business and embedding a Business Partner model. You won't over complicate things and will bring people along on the journey to enhance WHS capability and culture of the organisation. In addition, you will also have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in WHS or related field
Sound working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
Proven experience in implementing WHS systems and building organisational capability
Demonstrated experience in influencing cultural change in a multi-disciplinary organisation
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build rapport
Solid understanding of the NSW workers compensation system
Good knowledge of the operations of local government will be well regarded.
Current valid NSW drivers licence
Your commencing annual salary will be from $143,005 + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
