The Operator I may perform routine functions associated with the daily operations of a collection, treatment and production and distribution system. Conducts and administers all Company work related efforts and activities within the rules, regulations and responsibilities of the most current Company safety policy and OSHA regulation.
- Monitor notifications from Click tool on PC tablet to stay up to date on schedule changes throughout the day
- Complete work orders in sequence based on schedule provided to meet appointment blocks, optimize driving routes, and minimize the need for rescheduling to the following day
- Notify dispatch when a job can't be completed so it can be "unscheduled"
- Complete all work tracking in real time for all events/actions on the PC tablet and create new work order if follow up work is required
- Complete/populate checklists and ensure proper documentation is recorded on i Pad
- Create new work orders if follow up work is required, as necessary create work order for any new materials including meters
- Reads water meter and record readings on hand held computer. Install meters and repairs or replaces registers, measuring chambers and wires. Daily inspection of all well sites, reservoirs, lift stations, and booster stations, noting well motor run times, pump rates and operation, general condition of sites and appurtenances.
- Turns water service on and off. Disconnect water services and removes meters. Log accurate detail on service orders. Inspection of possible leaks. Repairs, when possible, to service lines, mains and hydrants, completes utility locates.
- This position also provides technical and/or physical assistance to other personnel, contractors and developers and any other duties assigned.
- Assists in light maintenance and lubrication of excavating and construction equipment. Cleans and fuels company vehicles as needed.
- Uses phone to communicate with office and uses computer to log data. Assist customers with troubles related to supply, volume, pressure or quality. Arrange for, or
complete sampling if deemed necessary, to assure customer satisfaction and confidence.
- Perform routine maintenance and/or repairs at sites. Filter changes, adjustments and repairs to chlorine generators and feed pumps. Maintenance of motor and pump oiling equipment, addition of oil to oilers. Regular scheduled maintenance to electric motors.
- General maintenance to all well sites, including, but not limited to removal of debris, weeds and pallets. Maintenance of surrounding area, comprised of a ten-foot perimeter at all sites.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mandatory 24 hour on emergency call (currently weekly rotation).
- May be required to work a standby rotation or work overtime as needed.
