Responsible for the operation of a centralized telephone system. Responsible for answering and directing all telephone traffic for Trinity Health, paging physicians and personnel, initiating emergency codes, ensuring emergency codes are coordinated according to the nature of the emergency, overhead paging for emergency codes, and monitoring alarms and video cameras. The Communications Specialist should have the ability to answer constant telephone calls and repeatedly page individuals, transfer calls, and assist callers throughout the course of the shift. Responsible for managing all calls promptly and courteously to ensure a positive experience for all who contact Trinity Health. The Communications Specialist must be able to work efficiently with frequent interruptions.
