Position Summary: Manage variety of academic services. Recruit, evaluate, and participate in the selection of candidates for admission to meet enrollment goals that aim to bring in a high-quality and diverse student body. Maintain liaison with all TSOA departments and individuals involved in the admissions process. Advise parents and applicants about educational planning. Advise students on academic programs, providing practical information related to the curriculum and degree progress, as well as administrative aspects of course selection and registration; help students make informed decisions about their academic and professional goals; interpret institutional policies and procedures; facilitate access to university resources and support services. Qualifications: Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree education, administration, or related field
Required Experience:
2+ years Relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with advising and admissions, event planning and implementation, and staff supervision.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in a creative professional or academic environment.

Excellent written, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong writing and proofreading skills. Ability to plan and execute events and activities. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to professionally interact with levels of students, staff, faculty and alumni. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of an interdisciplinary team of faculty, scholars, administrators, graduate, and undergraduate students. Must be able to communicate effectively and with collegiality.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, advise, and problem solve. Strong customer service skills. Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas, policies, and processes for the department. Proficiency with database applications. Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and trouble-shoot and deal with issues/challenges in administrative operations. Knowledge of SIS; Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, social media outlets.
Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,300.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
