The Material Handler position ensures that the day to day dock requirements and duties are completed. The duties included but not limited to are receiving/shipping, identifying/inspecting, verifying and securing incoming materials. Same day delivery and distribution of material to its proper destination. Accurately receive all purchase orders into SAP according to company procedures. Be able to perform at a high-volume dock. This is working on a high performing team, so must be a team player. Experience with a handheld RF scanner is a bonus!
Location: Tucson, AZ.- Williams Blvd. area
Hours: M-F 7:30 am-4:00 pm
Pay range: $22/hr - $23/hr + Medical, 401K, and PTO

Job Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator oversees the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate inventory control and managing shipments. They create shipping documentation, maintain safety and quality standards, and require strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. The role also involves operating material handling equipment, like forklifts, and making deliveries to customers.

Essential Duties:

The responsibilities include assisting with purchasing, traffic, and resolving issues with receipts and supplier invoices. The role requires performing accurate receiving transactions in SAP, inputting materials into the dock tracking system, creating shipping manifests, and ensuring same-day deliveries. Additional tasks involve maintaining inventory control, using material handling equipment, clerical duties, and providing shipping/receiving support. The individual will also inspect incoming deliveries, oversee shipment accuracy, maintain 5S practices, and ensure safety compliance. The role involves communication with team members, participating in training, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality control.

Requirements:

The qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics. The candidate should have knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, computer skills, and forklift experience (preferred). They must be able to interact with diverse individuals across the organization, train and motivate staff, and possess strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
