ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include travel requirements):

UNLOADING

  • The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, rolls are taken off the truck.
  • Each roll is scanned as they are being unloaded from the truck and before they are placed in the warehouse.
  • Ensure product is good quality and no damage as it is stored.
  • Proper paper work must be maintained for all loading/unloading processes.
  • Responsible for the unloading of Latex and Raw Glass trucks.
  • Report any damage to the Shipping Manager immediately.

LOADING
  • The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, verify with driver the order number and/or destination.
  • Use computer to pull the order/pick plan.
  • Get the Tare Weight from Shipping Manager
  • Load the rolls on cradles and/or blocking as needed.
  • Maximize the shipping weight without exceeding the DOT maximum.
  • Pick plans/ roll numbers are transferred to Shipping Manager for completion of BOL.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include travel requirements):

  • Truck loads of material will be deli Sometimes the trailer may be dropped for unloading.

  • Each trailer will be weighed in before unloading and must be weighed in after unloading is complete

  • All the weights have to be printed and recorded making sure the volumes will fit in the storage tanks.

  • Hoses are connected between the trailer and appropriate pump, depending on where it is going. This may require using tools and/or fittings to properly connected

  • Some products may require a sample be taken to QC for verification BEFORE proceeding with unload

  • Once the trailer is emptied, all connections must be removed making sure there is no spillage.

  • Clean the area thoroughly after unload is complete
