Principal Function: The Scare Team is responsible for scaring guests and assisting with set-up and tear down of scare attractions during the Headless Horsemen Festival. Scare Team members may work in either the Trail of Terror haunted corn maze or the Headless Horsemen Hayride. Shifts are typically 4pm-11pm, Thursday-Saturday during the month of October. Occasionally, hours may fall outside the parameters listed here. Scare Team members may or may not participate in all duties described below. Program managers will seek to align team members skills, interests and availability with program needs. All qualified, interested parties are encouraged to apply. Applicants for this position should be 16 years of age or older. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Event set-up and tear-down
Lifting and moving of tables, chairs, props, scenic elements, etc.
Acting as Headless Horseman jump and scare characters (Costumes provided)
Acting as Trail of Terror corn maze jump and scare characters (Costumes provided)
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience: GED/High School Diploma desired. Experience working in haunted attractions or theater desired. Conner Prairies Headless Horsemen Festival is Thursday through Sunday, 5:00pm to 11:00pm this position will be required to work during these days and hours.
