This is a live-in position. The REACH Live-In Site Manager is responsible for the overall smooth functioning of the REACH home and providing therapeutic rehabilitation services for youth enrolled each week at the REACH home. The successful candidate will receive free housing and other considerations in accordance with their “Occupancy License Agreement”. In addition, FCSA provides a vehicle to transport clients to appointments and activities during the REACH Respite session. Role Responsibilities include (not limited to):
Motivates and encourages children to comply with treatment plan.
Responsible for daily reporting and charting, including licensing compliance as applicable to the State of Alaska Community Care Regulations.
Participates in treatment team meetings as requested.
Coordinates with professionals such as school district personnel, Social Workers, Juvenile Justice, etc. as required.
Assists in planning and implementation of recreational, educational, and vocational activities.
Accompanies clients to and from school, activities, court hearings, and appointments as needed.
Provides crisis intervention as needed.
As directed, acts as FCSA community liaison to the professional and general community.
Responsible for purchasing household supplies and groceries.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and experience requirements:
Associate degree in psychology, social work, justice, guidance and counseling, sociology, education or other human service field. Equivalent work and/or educational experience may be substituted on a year-by-year basis.
Two years of experience working with children who experience a mental health disability. (When substituting educational experience 30 college credits will be considered equal to one year of substitute experience).
Meets all licensing requirements as delineated by the Alaska Administrative Code 7 AAC 50.210 and AAC 50.220.
Interpersonal skills adequate to work effectively as a member of a treatment team.
Current Alaska driver’s license and insurable driving record in accordance with FCSA policy limitations/restrictions. Adequate transportation to escort clients.
Current first aid and CPR certificates and the physical ability to employ verbal and physical aggression control techniques after being certified.
This position is a driving position. Applicants will be required to submit a driving record if selected for the position.
All applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to State of AK regulations and must pass a State of AK Background Check.
