Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic support to our clients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists, counselors, and social workers, to provide integrated care. You must be able to operate under the **direct supervision of a licensed Physician** to provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric care as a Nurse Practitioner. Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. - Diagnose and treat mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders. - Develop and implement treatment plans that include medication management and ongoing psychiatric care. - Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications. - Collaborate with a supervising Physician to ensure high-quality, compliant medication management. - Coordinate care with other mental health and other medical professionals and therapists within our practice to provide holistic, integrated treatment. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the practice’s electronic health record (EHR) system. - Participate in monthly team meetings and case consultations to support client care. - Engage in community outreach to support our mission of expanding access to quality mental health care in the area. Qualifications - Licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Alabama. - 2+ years of psychiatric clinical experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults. - Experience in medication management for mental health disorders, including psychotropic medications. - Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. - Must be able to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physician to provide MAT and psychiatric services. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
