Job Overview:
Responsible for control and accountability of all trackable government equipment utilized on Center per government and management restrictions. Assists Procurement Specialist in obtaining required supplies and/or services in compliance with government and management directives.
Pay: $29.41/hour plus an additional $4.57/hour (up to maximum of 40 hours per week) used to offset the cost of elected benefits
Hours: M-F, 7:30am-4:30pm
Retirement Plan: Eligible to participate in company 401(k) with Company matching after 1 year
Vacation: Minimum of ten days per year. Actual days are based upon your Service Date
Sick Time: Accrued sick time at 1 hour per 30 hours worked, capped at 56 hours per year
Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year
This position is onsite/in-office.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Ensure daily operation of the warehouse and property storage area, is secure and safe.
- Monitor purchase requisitions for accountable and expendable property purchases.
- Assist in issuing of expendable items from Center inventory.
- Assist in development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting property.
- Perform annual inventory of all trackable government property on Center. Prepare report of discrepancies with explanations.
- Provide inventory lists and instructions to property custodians for quarterly certification inventories.
- Coordinate and control property movement on Center (transfers). Maintain property files (transfers, quarterly certifications, acquisitions).
- Dispose of government property in accordance with all applicable government and management directives.
- Locate and obtain government surplus property for use on the Center.
- Initiate required investigation of missing property when appropriate.
- Determine acceptable repair costs for Center property. Track total amount spent for repair per individual piece of equipment.
- Train and communicate with Center staff to ensure compliance with Center control procedures.
- Ensure warehouse is open in accordance with posted hours.
- Process government property to include: logging in and tagging of government property to ensure accurate listings on the Electronic Property Management System (EPMS).
- Maintain repair log and accountability of Center property to include but not limited to: vacuums, TV's, VCR's, computers, power tools, and washers/dryers. Performs scheduling of repairs on or off Center. Determines proper repair authorization limits.
- Post property acquisitions, dispositions, corrections, and/or transfers on Electronic Property Management System (EPMS) in a timely manner.
- Assist and/or act for Procurement Specialist in their absence or when Center activity demands.
- Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
- Cultivate and maintain a climate on Center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
- Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed.
- Perform all other duties as requested.
Job Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Associates degree in Business Administration or related field.

Three (3) years progressively responsible property management experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties and functions of the job may be substituted for Associate’s Degree.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Successfully pass background check and drug test.
