Pronghorn Construction, Inc., a leader in the concrete and excavation industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to oversee and estimate a variety of projects from inception to completion. This role requires a skilled professional who can manage projects, create accurate estimates, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management and a passion for leading successful teams and projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Estimating: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete and excavation projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet deadlines.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and control costs to maximize profitability, reporting variances and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate crews, ensuring work is completed on time and to specification, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to local and national construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and daily reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate potential issues and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating within the concrete and/or excavation industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software, estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices, particularly in concrete and excavation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and instructions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, resolve issues quickly, and make informed decisions.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for job site visits.
