Job Description
- Under close supervision from Printing Services Manager or other higher-level printing services employees, provides high-volume, high-speed production duplication services to Printing Services clients on a walk-in basis.
- Adheres to all OSHA and/or Ohio University required safety guidelines.
- Performs high-volume, high-speed production digital duplication services
- Photocopies documents using high-speed copy machines; collates, compiles and staples; cleans and does minor copy machine maintenance, stocks supplies
- In absence of higher-level printing service employees, may receive requests for copy services from clients; takes information on copy specifications or expectations from clients.
- May assist high-level printing services employees in print shop finishing work; collating, packaging, etc. as needed.
- May be exposed to dangerous equipment; dirt, odors, fumes, cramped conditions, and may be required to stand for long periods of time
- Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to operate high-volume, high-speed digital duplication equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend job orders and copy machine service manuals
- Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and pictorial form
- Ability to work independently or with others
- Demonstrated willingness to work with diverse populations.
- Demonstrate dexterity and skill in use of craft-associated hand &/or power tools & equipment
- Ability to read & write common vocabulary in sentence structure
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers, calculate fractions, decimals & percentages
- Ability to apply principles to solve practical problems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of all applicable OSHA and/or Ohio University safety guidelines and procedures
- Successful completion of a test may be required
- An established pattern of good work habits and performance with good interpersonal skills.
