Operations Administrator Advance the college vision and mission of developing Christlike leaders through exceptional administration of key college and Dean's office operational functions. Significant areas of ownership and responsibility include managing the day-to-day operations of the Dean's office, serving as the college facilities manager, managing Dean's office and facility finances, and providing executive-level support for multiple deans. In fulfilling these duties, this role will manage a team of student employees and collaborate with a significant number of internal and external stakeholders. What you'll do in this position:
Ensure smooth daily operations, including office procedures, scheduling, mail services, and office safety.
Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and development of student employees.
Organize and coordinate office meetings, team training, and employee recognition events.
Oversee major renovations, remodels, and public space projects across the Tanner Building, ensuring timely completion of service requests.
Supervise the custodial and building care teams to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic standards are met as well as perform regular inspections and address repair needs.
Serve as college's key representative for physical access control and work with campus security to ensure building safety. Lead the college's safety training programs and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Provide executive-level support by managing the calendar of the Administrative Dean and Assistant Dean for Finance, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel logistics.
Coordinate communication with other administrative staff, supporting the overall operation of the Dean's office.
What qualifies you for this role: Required
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience in a professional or higher educational environment, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
Skilled at relationship building with all levels of organizational stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple priorities and projects.
Ability to manage and mentor students.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Solid Microsoft Office skills, including high comfort level with excel
Preferred
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience working in or overseeing facilities management or similar role.
Experience working with facilities, construction, maintenance, and repairs, etc., including budgets and costs, or relevant skills.
PMP or similar certification
Experience working in higher education and/or BYU university systems, such as work orders, scheduling, travel, finance, and access.
