The role of the Logistics Administrator is to perform all duties associated with shipping finished goods to Nucor Rebar Fabrication customers. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all Department of Transportation regulations are met by Nucor Rebar Fabrication drivers and contracted carriers
- Maintaining strong relationships with carrier partners
- Procuring contract carriers for shipments
- Scheduling deliveries with customers and carriers
- Negotiating freight rates with carriers
- Creating bills of lading in NRF systems and ensuring proper documentation are delivered to carriers
- Maintaining communication through delivery
- Approving and processing freight invoices
- Serving as administrative support in fleet maintenance
- Serving as backup to the division Scheduler
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor
