General Kitchen Staff – Camp Based (Delta Junction, Alaska)
TEEMA is a staffing who proudly serves over 1,200 Clients across Canada, the United States and internationally. Our client is looking for several people to provide General Kitchen Help within their Camp Services department. The General Kitchen Staff are responsible for ensuring that all the flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned, sanitized, and up to the Lodge standards, and help with the basic preparation of food.
WHAT IS OFFERED

Stable Permanent full-time employment
Full benefits provided as of the first day of employment.
Quarterly Bonuses – paid out March/June/September/December.
Meals and accommodations provided at no cost to the employee.
12 hours shifts with paid overtime after 8 hours a day / 40 hours per week.
Pay rate of $12.25 USD / hour (Overtime rate is $18.37 USD / hour); roughly $49,410 USD annually.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The schedule for these roles is 28 days in camp and 14 days out / off (4 weeks in and 2 weeks off); this schedule is non-negotiable.
Travel is provided (at the expense of the client) from Fairbanks Alaska
Camp is located towards Delta Junction – approximately 3 hours from Fairbanks – please note travel time is NOT Paid
Travel days are to be determined upon hire and are typically Monday/Wednesday and Thursday weekly.
Employees hired who are travelling into Fairbanks will be compensated for their first flight in (all other subsequent flights in and out will be at the expense of the employee)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

To work safely with all of the equipment.
The basic preparation of food, including the preparation of vegetables and snacks.
Kitchen, general equipment, and facility clean up (table, floors, etc.)
Responsible for inspecting the equipment and food on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Ensure your station is always manned and supplies are fully stocked.
Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

No experience required.
Excellent people skills.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised or unsupervised.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Positive attitude.
Team player.
Safe Serve Certificate is Required.
First Aid would be an asset.
Experience working in a camp, kitchen or restaurant environment is considered an asset but is not required.
