Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our culinary staff in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and helping with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and storing ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
Assist with washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Restock kitchen supplies, such as ingredients, utensils, and cleaning products.
Support the culinary staff in setting up and breaking down workstations.
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Help with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Good physical stamina, as the role may involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
