The department seeks to hire a smart, experienced, hardworking and dependable KBE/KDE Division Director to join our dedicated team.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Provide oversight and management of all activities within the Division of Resource Management within the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) including but not limited to personnel, payroll, disciplinary actions, grievances, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers compensation, benefits, training, facilities, phone systems, property and floor plans.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to all Kentucky Department of Education management and staff.
- Serve as liaison for KDE with the Personnel Cabinet, Personnel Board and Governor’s Office of Policy and Management (GOPM), Legislature and other agencies.
- Serve as KDE Appointing Authority.
- Serve as KDE designee at meetings. Develop and initiate policies and procedures as directed. Provide counseling and mediation.
- Provide administrative oversight and guidance to department leadership regarding employment under 18A, KBE/KDE Unclassified Service, KRS 161B for the Kentucky School Deaf and Kentucky School for the Blind, Master Agreements, Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Contractors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
