We have an exciting opening for an Internal Audit Manager with the opportunity to work remote from AR, OK, TX, ME, MO, FL, SC, TN, LA, KS, NJ, or NY.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls
Perform various audit tests and analyses and conclusions in accordance with audit programs and audit standards
Provide consultation to management regarding risk and the improvement of processes and controls
Lead multiple audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets
Develop audit strategies, perform risk assessments, and establish audit scopes in collaboration with stakeholders and the Director of Internal Audit
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster trust and identify opportunities for additional services
Work collaboratively with co-sourced audit resources
Organizing, leading and performing all aspects of integrated internal audit engagements.
Drafting clear and concise audit findings and align comprehensive management action plans with management.
Providing value-add recommendations to management to improve the control environment, increase operational effectiveness, or improve quality of products and services provided by the Company.
Tracking and assessing implementation of corrective actions by management.
Continued development, enhancement and application of the audit approach and new auditing techniques and technology.
Conduct special investigations as needed.
Manage and/or perform all special project requests from executive management and other departments and prioritize them appropriately.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
7-10 years of audit experience, preferably with a public company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong competency in auditing standards and practices
Demonstrated success in consulting effectively with all levels of management including executives
Must possess the ability to influence others without direct position power to earn credibility and trust
Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
