Calista Brice, LLC, a subsidiary of Calista Corporation, is a lifecycle construction group that offers construction services in every phase of the construction cycle. We are a fast-paced growing collective of subsidiary businesses that operate in the dynamic construction, engineering, environmental, logistic, and equipment industries.
What can you expect?
As the Human Resources Generalist, you will interface with the Human Resource Business Partners and other members of the HR team, working closely to assist with recruitment, union dispatches, onboarding, affirmative action, orientation, benefits administration, performance review tracking, and other compliance-related activities for the Calista Brice family of companies. This position coordinates responsibilities with multiple companies and staff to provide direct, high-level support for the HR team. You will support the operational staffing needs of subsidiary companies and acts as a “go-to” point for requests and company policy and benefit information.
How will you do it?
- Facilitate subsidiary recruitment efforts and ensure job postings meet all governmental and corporate posting requirements.
- Follow company applicant tracking and requisition procedures; ensure applicant tracking is up-to-date, and recruitment files are maintained with all required documentation.
- Coordinate screening of Shareholders at external career sites to identify candidates who may qualify for open positions and determine interest.
- Facilitate pre-employment processes: drug testing, background check, and occupational health screening.
- Facilitate communication with all stakeholders on new hire status and information.
- Administer non-union and union onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Facilitate new hire orientation timely and accurately ensuring smooth transition from pre-hire to employees’ first day through both effective communications, onboarding software application, and engaging employee benefits orientation, and policy presentations.
- Administer new hire documents, review them for completion, and route them appropriately.
- Review corporate and subsidiary policies with employees and answer any questions they have.
- Be available for employees to answer questions, help employees to be fully integrated into the company, and ultimately encourage employee retention.
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining job descriptions, including position pricing and FLSA status determination.
- Complete company compensation analysis in coordination with HR Business Partners.
- Maintain department files with company policies and government regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws impacting recruitment and OFCCP guidelines. Coordinate records for AAPs and OFCCP compliance programs as needed.
- Assist with and ensure compliance with the Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Act requirements.
- Manage seasonal/rotational and temporary employee benefit deductions. Assisting with annual lookback reviews.
- Coordinate and assist with annual Benefits Open Enrollment.
- Manage employee compliance training programs.
- Assist with HSE and DOT driver program requirements.
- Assist with employee performance evaluation programs, assist HR Business Partners with performance-based pay increase processing, and enhance performance evaluation-guided training for employees and managers.
- Work as a member of the team, fully participating in troubleshooting, planning, and team decision-making processes and assisting with tasks to support subsidiary operations.
- Respond to subsidiary operational requests and formulate an atmosphere of need-solution that supports operational needs and fosters team collaboration.
- Assists HR Business Partner(s) with administrative processing needs, including preparation of company materials, employee correspondence, informational campaigns, and business process documentation.
- Assist with maintaining employee records in the HRIS system (Workday).
- Collaborate with other departments, including payroll and accounts payable, as needed for functional business workflows.
- Travel to project locations or subsidiary offices.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of the recruitment processes (job postings, job boards, candidate screening and selection, interviewing, etc.), best practices, and state, federal, and OFCCP compliance programs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and confidentially process and maintain data accurately with minimal oversight.
- Knowledge of and ability to enforce Federal, State, and company labor and employment regulations in the workplace.

Who is Calista Brice LLC looking for?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred; year-for-year human resources experience may be substituted for four-year degree.
- Three (3) or more years of Human Resources experience in two or more functional areas; generalist experience, which includes general business operations, recruitment, and benefits, is strongly preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Calista Brice’s Driving Polices.
- Ability to pass drug, driving and background screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current PHR certification preferred.
- Experience with collective bargaining agreements preferred.
- Experience with Workday, Viewpoint Spectrum, and Costpoint preferred.
