Tyler Union in Anniston, AL is seeking an HR Generalist to become part of the team.
Tyler Union, a division of Mc Wane, Inc. has a century of success in manufacturing and selling ductile iron fittings, joint restraints, and valve boxes for the waterworks industry.
The HR Generalist is responsible for implementing human resources programs by providing human resources services. These may include recruiting and staffing of assigned employee groups, training and development, employee or labor relations, performance review management, and compliance reporting analytics for decision making. Serve as customer service point of contact for assigned employee group or location. Proactively promotes The Mc Wane Way principles, values, and behaviors and lives the Compass Culture.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Performs related duties as assigned by HR Manager/Director

Safety - Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
- Confidentiality - Maintain complete confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the position.
- HR Customer Service -Provide excellent HR Customer Service by communicating effectively using appropriate channels and tools, handle all inquiry, Grievance/ dispute resolution, and offer guidance to internal and external customers. Interpret and explain human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Relationship Building - Build and maintain good working relationships within the department and across departments.
- Talent - Conduct full cycle recruiting by actively using the employee recruitment system for sourcing, identifying, screening, and hiring candidates. Provide support for the entire employee lifecycle from pre-employment through termination.
- HRIS System - Actively use the HRIS system for new hire, termination, and transactional changes in between, and reporting.
- Training – HR new hire orientation and facilitate other HR training programs as needed.
- Discipline - Manage the employee discipline program, as assigned, ensuring disciplines are issued within collectively bargained agreements parameters.
- Investigations - Conduct investigations regarding employee complaints, concerns, and/or grievances.
- Reporting - Develop BI reporting and Dashboards within the HRIS system for use in data analysis, decision making, and compliance reporting.
- Compliance – Maintain compliance with all federal employment laws and regulations. Maintain personnel files (hard copy and scanned records) in accordance with state and federal requirements and corporate guidelines and records retention policy.
- Workforce Development - Participate in outreach and workforce development activities.
- Knowledge - Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes in human resources, talent management and employment law.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years' full-time human resources experience required; recruitment preferred.
- Work within a team environment.
- Must possess strong and effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Digital literacy in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Power Point required.
- Certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred.
