Responsibilities:
This person will assist patients and customers who come in to buy/rent home medical equipment. You will restock the store, keep it clean and presentable, assist with orders, assist with inventory, answer customer questions and other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, learning, teamwork and professional practice, consistent with the mission, vision and values of the company.
- Establish effective mechanisms of communication with staff, providers, customers and the management team to foster an environment of openness, trust, teamwork and staff development.
- Continuously review HME store operations, equipment, supply and rental needs and assignment of responsibilities to ensure customers and organizational service needs are met.
- Communicate with management regularly to review service issues and opportunities for improvement to ensure the delivery of high quality service to all internal and external customers.
- Actively promote HME store sales and rentals to all identified customers to ensure continuous growth and profitability.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance to staff for equipment, supply and rental issues.
- Maintain current information on products, insurance changes, reimbursement trends and other market trends that may affect store profitability.
- Reviews daily and monthly reports verifying all financial transactions, balancing charges and payments for Point of Sale transactions.
- Assists in the provision of quality equipment and supplies to patients/clients in a cost-effective manner.
- Delivers and sets up or picks-up equipment to/from storefront and hospital.
Qualifications:
- High School or Vocational School graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
- Read, speak and write fluent English and perform simple arithmetic computations.
- Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision making and problem solving expertise.
- Knowledge of personnel administration and customer relation principles.
