Gift Shop/ Cafe Assoicate PT

POSITION SUMMARY
The gift shop/cafe associate is vital to ensure patients feel welcomed when entering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the efficient operation of both the gift shop and cafe. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Greet and assist patients in a courteous and friendly manner.
Handle transactions, operate register, and manage payments.
Maintain a clean and organized gift shop and café.
Ordering inventory and restocking, to ensure product displays are visually appealing.
Ability to take customer orders, operate kitchen appliances (including but not limited to smoothie blender).
Responsible for opening and closing procedures for gift shop and cafe.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Notify leadership of any damages, deficits, or disturbances.
Deal with customer complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED
Previous retail, customer service, or food service experience is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive demeanor.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs.
Comfortable working in a café setting, including operating kitchen equipment and handling food.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
Availability to work flexible hours, including alternating weekends.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Knowledge of potential safety hazards of using equipment.
2. Interact effectively with staff, patients, and supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.39 - $21.14 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
