POSITION SUMMARY Wellbridge Unit Secretary will manage care throughout the facility and are responsible for providing clerical and administrative support for the needs of a licensed inpatient medically supervised stabilization and withdrawal program, rehabilitation program and reintegration program. Carries out the Wellbridge vision, values and overall strategic planning, clinical management, patient care, budgeting, financial management and quality management. Promotes service standards and creates a patient-focused caring environment while addressing and meeting the individual needs of all patients. Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with physicians, nurses, therapists, counselors and other healthcare team members. RESPONSIBILITIES Clerical
Provides clerical and administrative clinicians in delivery of individual and group therapy for all treatment programs for patients and their family members
Maintains patient medical records in proper order and per procedure
Manages clinical data and result entry including psychosocial features, laboratory results, vital signs sheets
Maintains policy and procedure manuals.
Manages clinical orders to and from clinicians and pharmacy
Monitors patient flow thru admissions, transfers and discharges
Answers telephones and communicates messages to appropriate staff
Reviews medical records and related data for accuracy and completeness
Oversees office supply inventory
Orders supplies, equipment and stationary
Responds to needs of visitors, physicians, patients and other members of the health care team as soon as possible courteously and compassionately
Observes standard policies, procedures to ensure safety, quality services and compliance with accrediting entities.

Model the Wellbridge philosophy of patient-centeredness, empowerment, and cultural proficiency and seek supervision from administrative and clinical staff
Maintains a safe and caring environment for patients that is conducive to positive health teaching, and maintenance; patient and family expectations of care
Recognizes the need for patient care to be delivered in a culturally sensitive manner and models sensitivity to all staff
Seeks and engages in supervision from other clinicians and peers

Work collaboratively with clinician colleagues to complete clinical and administrative tasks

Responds in a timely fashion to staff concerns and functions proactively to retain staff
Maintains bulletin boards in an orderly up to date fashion
Distributes mail, packages, and flowers to patients
Maintain understanding of treatments and practices of Wellbridge and reinforces treatment goals of patients
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications
Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years (2) of full-time satisfactory experience in providing non-professional nursing or medical support services in a hospital, health care or medical facility
BLS, required
Familiarity with all relevant healthcare standards: OASAS, ASAM
Proficiency with computer skills and electronic medical records
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in stressful situations
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Specific experience with inpatient psychiatric and/or addiction treatment settings
Knowledge of interventions used to treat addiction
Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
