PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN) CLINICAL EXPERIENCE PROVIDING TREATMENT FOR ADDICITON AND CO-OCCURRING MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS 3 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE WITH:
MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT) AND HOW BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS CAN SUPPORT AND IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR MAT
POSITION SUMMARY Clinical staff nurses will deliver care throughout Wellbridge and are responsible for the day-to-day nursing requirements. Carries out the Wellbridge vision, values and overall strategic planning, clinical management, patient care, budgeting, financial management and quality management. Promotes service standards and creates a patient-focused caring environment while addressing and meeting the individual needs of all patients. Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with all healthcare team members. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide on-site nursing support to all treatment programs
Assists healthcare team with interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, height & weight, EMR documentation, medication administration, clinical tests etc.
Performs patient assessment, development, evaluation, and modification of nursing care plans and participates in patient and family education
Performs medical screenings at admission & monitor patient's status throughout treatment
Observes, documents, and reports changes in patient condition
Adheres to medication management protocols
Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationship with patients and families
Knowledge of current treatments, knowledge, and practices in addiction care
Knowledge of current treatment, knowledge, and practices in pain management
Demonstrate consistent professional conduct
Adheres to time and attendance protocols
Adheres to infection prevention/control practices
Organizes exam rooms, general cleaning, upkeep, and restocking of supplies
Demonstrate understanding of clinical risk
Provides LPN oversight of nursing practice
COLLABORATION
Support a culture of high quality of care across the organization
Work collaboratively with the DON and colleagues to develop personalized treatment plans
Manage and promote relationship with academic and research institutions to promote addiction research and training, and support program improvement
Facilitates the effective provision of support services essential to team-based patient care
Provide crisis support to other clinicians and patients, as needed

Maintains a safe and caring environment for patient is conducive to positive health teaching, and maintenance, patient and family expectations of care

PLANNING AND COORDINATION
Participates in clinical team meetings
Work closely with clinical and advocacy teams to coordinate services to patients
Makes recommendations for growth and development of organization
Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities
Assist with community outreach/presentations, as needed
