Job Summary:
Set-up, maintenance, and operation of finishing line to ensure adequate amount of wear layer material is applied evenly to printed surface materials. Ensure that all produced materials are properly documented at the time of production. Ensure that the quality of all produced material meets the company standards. Keep a count of all poor-quality items produced and disposed of and document those items.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Organizing finishing jobs, material and workload based on system demand
· Set-up of machinery according to product specifications
· Operating high speed finishing equipment while continually monitoring and adjusting application of wear layer material
· Performing quality control sample checks for ever production order
· Troubleshooting and problem solving throughout the job
· Cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining equipment
· Work safely always and comply with all safety policies and procedures
· Keep a clean and presentable work area
· Report directly to Production Team Lead & Warehouse Manager
· Any other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Manufacturing experience, hands on
· Mathematical and mechanical problem solving
· Ability to read and understand job specifications, quality control procedures, and finishing operations
· Excellent communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and other operators
· Must work well in a team-oriented environment
· Ability to use hand tools
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb for 8+ hours
· Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
· Ability to lift at least 40 pounds without assistance
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Or 2 years machine operator experience in manufacturing
