Facilities / Maintenance Assistant

Overview:
This position will report to the Facilities Manager. This person must have strong desire and drive to be very accurate and thorough. This person must be able to interact with Mechanics, Management (Facilities, Production, Sanitation, QA, and Finance) Vendors, Office Personnel, and others to be successful. This position requires the possession of strong practical and technical skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively. It requires the ability to direct and handle multiple tasks.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track downtime associated with maintenance at all plants.
  • Assist Facilities Manager with meeting agendas.
  • Involvement with tracking maintenance cost - actual to budget at all plants
  • Occasional travel to audit all plants’ e AM performance.
  • Monitor and maintain machine history to support plants’ metrics and downtime reduction.
  • Co-ordinate collection and preparation of facilities & maintenance reports for all plants
  • Responsible for weekly maintenance scheduling of technicians to meet maintenance requirements.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve management data, using report tools.
  • May direct or lead others local plants’ e AM SMEs.
  • Responsible for some confidential and time sensitive materials
  • Exercise good leadership and communication skills.
  • Co-ordinate PM processes for the Facilities department
  • Support local e AM SMEs with:
  • Data entry of completed work orders.
  • Improved accuracy of Activities, Routings and Schedules
  • Oversee the generation and completion of Department meeting action items.
  • Support local plants e AM standardization.
  • Oversee data input by parts clerks.
  • Assist setting report criteria.
  • Subject Matter Expert for Maintenance (Oracle e AM)
  • Monitors / assist in cycle counts, inventory issues, and PO issues at all plants
  • Records control.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.
  • Generates Purchase Orders to support plants as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of administrative support experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office - Excel, Power Point, Teams
  • Proficient with Oracle e AM
  • Good general computer skills.
