This position provides administrative support to the department director and faculty. This position is responsible for coordinating and planning for Leadership Institute Events (scheduling speakers, space reservations on & off-campus, stage setup, AV oversight, catering, etc.), supporting outreach efforts including assisting with the development of marketing materials both online and hard copy, managing multiple institute budgets, coordinating director’s developmental activities, and working with faculty to ensure coordination of institute activities. This position is responsible for receiving calls and visits from distinguished guests, requiring a higher than normal level of professionalism and attention to detail. Other duties include processing adjunct faculty contracts, scheduling appointments, and travel, providing student support services, assisting with student registration, routing incoming mail, composing and typing routine correspondences (displaying effective use of English grammar and writing techniques), filing correspondences, and maintaining department records, ordering supplies, preparing paperwork for making payments, greeting and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum of two years of clerical office work experience
3. Proficient skill in the use of Microsoft Office suite

1. Experience in a higher education setting
2. Proficient skill in the use of Datatel and People Admin
