Custodian I -100% -2nd Shift - Downtown Campus
The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Downtown Campus department of Environmental Services is seeking a Custodian to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff. This position is scheduled to work second shift. Starting salary, $16.97/hour. The University of Iowa offers a generous benefits package, which may be viewed at https://hr.uiowa.edu/benefits
This position is performed fully on campus.
Percent of time: 100%
Schedule: 2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm
Monday-Friday
May be included in the holiday coverage rotation

University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center Downtown (located at 500 E. Market Street, Iowa City, IA) is a 194-bed hospital that became part of Iowa’s only comprehensive academic health system on Jan. 31, 2024.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- General cleaning
- Trash removal
- Stock supplies for cart and custodial area
- Clean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom supplies
- Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors
- Carpet cleaning
- Unit/bed making
- Wall & ceiling washing
- Furniture moves and room setups
- Use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
This position is performed fully on campus.
Percent of time: 100%
Schedule: 2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm
