Maintains interior and exterior of ANHC healthcare building and grounds in clean and orderly condition as well as securing against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas, including walls, ceilings, windows, furniture and floor surfaces.
Transports trash, waste and recyclables to disposal area.
Replenishes consumable supplies to include soaps, can liners, paper products, etc.
Cleans and maintains grounds, cuts and trims grass/shrubs/trees, shovels snow, distributes sand and ice melt.
Periodically patrols buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure.
Inspects equipment and machinery for signs of tampering and unusual wear, leaks or malfunctions.
Warns violators of rule infractions such as loitering, tobacco usage or carrying forbidden articles.
Sounds alarms, calls 911 by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized or unruly persons.
Escorts employees and patients to vehicles upon request.
Frequently will assume additional duties and provide cross coverage for Maintenance and Materials Technician.
SUPPORTING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs light maintenance duties as needed.
Assists with distribution of supplies as needed.
Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain orderly flow.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work Experience: One year of full-time appropriate/related experience required. Clinical cleaning experience preferred. Education, Certification and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have driver license, auto insurance and provide current motor vehicle record. Additional Skills & Knowledge: Bilingual preferred.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, grasp, push, pull, reach, lift, bend, carry and move up to 70 pounds, and climb ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small machinery such as vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, small tractor with plow and standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephone and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Work is performed in a healthcare clinic and office setting. ANHC is a tobacco-free campus.
