The Communications Director at a transformation and innovation company is responsible for developing and implementing the overall communication strategy for the company and its clients, ensuring that all external and internal communications are aligned with their goals and brand identity. This role will lead the Creative Advertising Agency branch within the company, overseeing services provided both to the company itself and to external clients. This role involves leading and managing 3 specialized teams: Design Team, Content Creation Team, and the Multimedia Team. The Communications Director will work closely with senior leadership and other departments to deliver impactful and cohesive communication across all platforms. Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances the company’s and its clients’ brand, increases visibility, and supports business objectives.
Oversees the creation and distribution of high-quality, consistent and engaging content across various channels including digital, print, and multimedia.
Align the efforts of the Design, Content Creation, and Multimedia teams with the company’s and its clients’ overall marketing and communications strategy.
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that communications strategies support the company’s and its clients’ business goals and messaging.
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the impact of communications efforts. And use data to inform future communication strategies and improve team performance.
Team Leadership & Development:
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring the Design Team, Content Creation Team, and Multimedia Team.
Set clear objectives, assign tasks, and manage workflows to ensure the timely and successful completion of all projects.
Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, brainstorm new ideas, and address any new challenges.
Foster a collaborative and creative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of communication projects, ensuring they are complete on time, within scope, and on budget.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
Manage the production schedule for all communications outputs, balancing priorities across the three teams to meet deadlines.
Content & Messaging:
Ensure that all messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with the company’s brand voice and values.
Review and approve all content produced by teams, including visual designs, written content, and multimedia assets.
Work closely with Content Creation & Design Teams to develop and refine key messages for projects and/or initiatives.
Brand Management:
Maintain and enhance the company’s and/or its clients’ brand image through effective communication strategies.
Monitor industry trends and competitor communications to keep the company’s fresh, innovative and competitive. While also maintaining this practice for the company’s clients.
Business Development:
Identify and implement communication strategies that directly contribute to attracting new clients and expanding the company’s market presence.
Develop targeted messaging and marketing materials that appeal to potential clients and showcase the company’s unique value offer.
Establish and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, media outlets and potential clients to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
