The Field Service Technician position supports the Pharma Division. The service role is critical to the operations of the organization. Previous experience in maintenance and knowledge of Pharmaceutical Packaging equipment required.
Install and commission new pharma equipment from Europe or US
Perform service at customer site that includes maintenance, repair, inspect or auditing on mechanical and electrical components
Travel to customer sites by logistic form being requested by customer or management
Ability to follow blueprints, electrical codes, schematics, and manuals, both at customer sites and in-house
Ability to troubleshoot related equipment in a safe and effective manner
Ability to install new format components per customer specification
Installs wiring and conduit and connects power to machine
Assists with in-house assembly land related activities
Provide excellent customer service and represent the Company at the highest level
Display time management skills for project and daily tasks
Ability to use written and oral communication to customer and work colleagues
Prepare and submit service reports, expense reports and timesheets to the respective departments
Demonstrate to customer maintenance and operator staff on how to properly use equipment
Follows instructions and completes duties as requested by supervisor
Valid Driver’s License is required

Work Environment This job operates in a production environment of a customer site. Adhering to the safety measures of the customer’s plant and working both independently as well as a team effort. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely an active technical role whereby there may be times where the employee will be required to lift up to 50lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, hourly position. The hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, but during customer trips – these hours/days may vary Travel The travel requirements for this position are approximately 70-80% Travel to Europe, Canada and within the US with no restrictions. Required Education and Experience
An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school in Electro-Mechanical Technology or 5 years previous experience maintaining Pharmaceutical Packaging Equipment.
