Business Transformation Systems Lead

Job Title: Business Transformation Systems Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Transformation Systems Lead will play a major role in connecting information across the enterprise using current and future technology solutions to ensure seamless integration for applications and data across the business for our internal and external customers. These solutions will enable them to make better decisions faster for daily and long-term business decisions. This role will work directly with all departments including marketing, sales, engineering, finance, and operations. This position will employ a holistic approach to business solutions to improve data integrity, processes through automation, error handling, and defined interfaces.
The candidate will be responsible for designing and consolidating data warehouses, performing advanced queries and analytics, interfacing related applications, automating application tasks, simplifying data capture, identifying data capture points and standardization of data across multiple platforms. This team member will provide technical documentation for solutions and communicate with business analysts to implement functional requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for coordination of training, where required.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communications, requirements analysis and problem-solving skills are required. This position requires a self-motivated individual with an interest in learning about a wide range of applications and operational business execution. The candidate should be able to drive short term activities that fit with our long-term goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
  • Must be proficient in problem solving and troubleshooting across a multitude of IT disciplines.
  • Lead the development of middleware solutions for integration as well as solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Lead ESG in what is the accepted business application stack and the future business application stack.
  • Works with internal and external customers to determine appropriate platforms and solutions to meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Designs the short term and long-term road map for Business Transformation as it relates to the business goals and customer requirements.
  • Designs data warehouses, relational databases and related reports and dashboards.
  • Develops, tests, and delivers new and expanded interfaces utilizing sound project management procedures.
  • Provides advanced level of technical support as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations that can improve efficiency of processes by leveraging technology.
  • Need to collaborate with offshore development resources.
  • Acquires knowledge of pre-built solutions to determine its function and ultimate position in the business transformation process.
  • Design, create, modify, and consolidate data warehouses, relational databases, and dashboards.
  • Perform advanced queries and analytics, including analyzing user needs and requirements and developing software solutions.
  • Interface applications and automate application tasks.
  • Create technical documentation for solutions and communicate with business analysts to implement functional requirements.
  • Modify existing software to improve data integrity and operational processes and correct errors.
  • Coordinate software system installations and monitor performance.
  • Build middleware solutions for integration, data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Interpret functional requirements and develop technical designs.
  • Analyze voluminous and highly complex datasets and data manipulation using T-SQL.
  • Develop, test, and deliver new and expanded interfaces utilizing project management procedures.
  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations that will improve efficiency of processes by leveraging technology.
  • Standardize data points across multiple platforms.
  • Standardize reporting across the business.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Integration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multiple ETL tools, web services, XML, and relational databases.
  • Strong SQL and report writing/maintenance skills are required (T-SQL preferred).
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and guidelines to support operational processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Power BI skill set as it relates to using relational databases and data sets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in some system currently used including but not limited to: JD Edwards Enterprise One, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, DSI automated data collection (SFDC), Salesforce.com, Net Suite, Configure One CPQ, Share Point, Windchill PLM, Solid Works PLM, Sigma Nest, Hyperion, Microsoft SQL Server, Mongo DB, Microsoft Office, Outlook, ETL Works, SOTI, App Smith and L2L.
