Job Overview:
Townsend Nissan is seeking a dedicated and energetic Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive success in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

Oversee the service department, including technicians, service advisors, service call center, lot attendants, detailers, and shuttle drivers.
Manage employee schedules and pay plans.
Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
Collaborate with the Parts Manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
Work with the shop foreman to ensure customer vehicles are serviced properly and efficiently.
Attend and conduct service department and manager meetings.
Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department.
Maintain specified service customer pay gross profit growth.
Ensure technician proficiency as per company standards.
Partner with technical schools to recruit technicians.
Partner with OEMs and other third-party vendors.
Handle and resolve customer complaints effectively.
Motivate, train, develop, and reward employees.
Communicate with customers about maintenance and service work needed.
Maintain the company's value, quality, and integrity.
Provide and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees and customers.
Other duties as determined by management.

Qualifications:

Must be able to manage a team, motivate, and develop.
Experience with CDK or other automotive software is required.
Strong technical aptitude is required.
Must have 3+ years of experience as an automotive Service Writer/Service Assistant Manager.
Previous automotive Service Management experience is required.
Must be able to manage in a fast-paced work environment.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).
