The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for all duties of the housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property. The person in this role will promote an atmosphere that ensures guest and employee satisfaction. The position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills and the ability to effectively deal with other members of the management team, guests and employees. Duties and Responsibilities: Directs cleaning tasks for the entire hotel including guest rooms and public areas. Efficient operation of hotel laundry. Ensure company, federal, state and local health, sanitation and safety standard and regulations are maintained. Manage standards to ensure cleanliness standards are being met. Maintain a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies. Manage daily activities of the department. Communicate and enforce all hotel policies and procedures. Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing training and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations. Help conduct new hire and on-going training as needed. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest question and/or concerns. Maintain open communication between management and employees. On days the Executive Housekeeper is on duty you will be responsible for completing a normal housekeeping board of rooms. Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping or related field
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and hospitality standards
Experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Certification in housekeeping management is a plus
