The administrative assistant supports the compensation team with administrative related tasks within the compensation and retirement programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
Monitor shared inboxes, prepare timely responses to inquiries.
Assist with meeting coordination to include room scheduling and assistance with materials preparation compensation and retirement programs.
Provide project and analytical support for compensation and retirement programs.
Retirement Programs:
Serves as a point of contact with the record keepers to coordinate routine administration of the 401k and non-qualified deferred compensation programs.
Assists with routine weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly retirement feedback files to include rate change contributions, term reports, loan administration, corrections, and CT transfers.
Conducts weekly audits for data accuracy of the payroll systems across the organization.
Compensation Programs:
Serves as a point of contact to assist with routine administration of the performance management processes to include system configuration testing and data management.
Assist with gathering information for job evaluation and maintenance of a job evaluation log.
Assist with the compensation salary survey participation process, keeping up to date with industry shifts and providing management with recommendations for data resources.
Assist with scorecard review and ensure accurate and timely distribution.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One - three years of administrative work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or college course work preferred.
Demonstrated experience producing high quality service, including accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Oracle strongly preferred.
Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
