Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative to join our team.
Cryotanks Ltd, was established in 2004, specialise in the Supply, Installation and Rental and Delivery of Cryogenic Storage Tanks. To offer a full package we now deliver Cryogenic Liquid Gases to customers via our fleet of Custom-built trucks. Due to expansion, we require a Yard Operative with experience of Class two driving ADR preferable. Must be over 25 for insurance purposes.
Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining small plant & equipment
• Loading, unloading and maintaining the upkeep of Fleet vans and Lorries
• Apply mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain systems
• Utilise power tools and hand tools for various yard-related activities
• Maintain stock levels of PPE and consumables
• Complying with company Health & Safety policy.
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Supporting the Transport/Depot Manager
• Stock Control
• Forklift operation
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment within the yard

Skills & Experience

• Experience of working within a warehouse or construction yard is an advantage, although full training will be given for the right candidate.
• Mechanically minded
• Capability to work independently or as part of a team·
• Be able to work in a very busy environment
• Class 2 Driving Licence
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Basic IT skills (word, excel)
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.

Must be prepared for physically active work and be able to use their own initiative.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.40-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
