Long established, 70 years, precast concrete manufacturers supplying a wide range of construction projects for large and small Main Contractors and subcontractors across Scotland and Northern England. Specialists in structural precast products. All roles are located at our Kelso works TD5 8JG, local applicants only please.
Workshop Operatives; Concrete products yardsman / forklift driver

• Concrete products yardsman . Role mainly entails working with another yardsman using team lifting / manual handling of smaller precast products and loading waggons using forklifts. General labouring and housekeeping also involved. In house training on handling methods will be provided. One positions available

Role would suit someone with previous experience of yardwork and manual handling training. CSCS card and forklift certification would be beneficial. Reading and understanding of technical drawings and picking schedules.
Full on the job training by colleagues will be provided. Plant certs for forklift driving would advantageous, training can be provided.
Enthusiasm, willingness to learn new skills, organised, conscientious, punctuality and reliability alongside being able to work as part of a small team are musts for this job.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, immediate start
Wage: £11.92 per hour basic rate, dependant on age, OT x1.5. Accrual to variable full bonus over 12 months, rates TBA. Regular Working Hours: 07:00 to 15:15 Mon to Fri, OT as required.
