Theatre Administrator | Manchester | Didsbury | Full-time | Permanent | 37.5 hours | £23,497.50 per annum
Spire Manchester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Theatre team on a full-time and permanent basis.
Spire Manchester Hospital offers a comprehensive range of specialist treatments in purpose-built private hospital facilities in Didsbury. Part of the award-winning Spire healthcare group, we’re world-class experts offering fast access to specialised and personalised healthcare using some of the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Contract Type: Permanent
As Theatre Administrator, you will be responsible to provide an efficient and high quality clerical service that is supportive of the staff responsible for the provision of surgical care. You will also provide accurate operating lists, maintain accurate patient records and support the senior team with administrative and clerical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
  • Handle telephone calls and enquiries from patient relatives, hospital staff and external stakeholders in a constructive and sympathetic manner, acting appropriately and referring to a suitable person where necessary
  • To be responsible for maintaining accurate operating sessions and procedure lists
  • Help monitor and generate reports.
  • Liaise with waiting list to ensure accurate operating details are entered onto the system
  • To be responsible for maintain accurate patient records and updating procedure details to the relevant records
What do you need to have?
  • Good standard of secondary education with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills
  • Track record of successful delivery in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Strong focus on delivering and meeting customer expectations
  • Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels
