Are you ready to step into the spotlight at The Playhouse? We are looking for someone with creativity, excellent communication skills and the versatility to adapt messaging and marketing approaches to different audiences, enabling our programmes to gain as wide and deep a reach as possible. The successful candidate will have experience of marketing within the arts with a track record of developing audiences, engaging people, an innovative approach to crafting communications messages and a strong understanding of digital marketing practices. They will report to the Marketing Director supporting them in their work and work with colleagues within the marketing team, across the organisation and across the partners involved in the ‘ARTITUDE: CLIMATE, CULTURE, CIRCULARITY’ project. The post is two years, fixed term full time contract (with possibility of extension). Key Responsibilities
Develop strong relationships with The Playhouse Team, artists, technical crew, service suppliers, project partners and networks to support high quality communications.
Be an ambassador for The Playhouse and Artitude project throughout contract; raising awareness of the work and the communities we connect to.
Support excellent working relationships with marketing teams of partners, co-producers, promoters, stakeholders and funders as well as press and media, influencers and other third-party communication channels to share insights and learning, support audience development and engagement and inform strategy.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Marketing Team to devise and lead engaging, innovative and effective campaigns including writing copy, maintaining and updating our website, putting events on sale via our box office system Spektrix, producing online digital content and creating marketing and communications materials to promote The Playhouse brand and work to the highest standard.
Oversee effective CRM and Box Office processes to engage our current audience and participants and cultivate new people.
Engage in PR activity as and when required making sure responses and statements are well thought through and agreed at the appropriate senior level
Support the wider organisation to ensure that relevant policies and procedures pertaining to the use of social media are adhered to.
Support The Playhouse’s commitments in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion and environmental responsibility.
Contribute to creative ideas, organisational policy, risk management, staff wellbeing and champion our values and behaviours, and working together principles.
Attend Playhouse events sometimes at evenings and weekends
Work with Development Team to support strategies to increase income generation and donations
Support internal communications across The Playhouse.
