Loft Insulation Installer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and insulation techniques, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety while performing insulation installation in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs to improve energy efficiency.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure proper sealing of insulation to prevent air leaks and enhance thermal performance.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to coordinate insulation work within larger construction projects.
- Perform basic masonry tasks as needed for insulation installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct inspections of installed insulation for quality assurance.
- Fabricate custom insulation solutions for unique building designs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, painting, or related construction fields is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to plumb walls accurately for proper insulation installation.
- Experience with welding is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations relevant to insulation work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
