Construction Laborer
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including but not limited to carpentry, masonry, and plumbing.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from lorries.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and clearing debris.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding and other temporary structures.
- Perform general maintenance tasks as required on-site.
- Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
- Strong physical fitness to handle the demands of manual labour.
- A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate.
