About us

Sitting within Student Support and Wellbeing’s suite of support services, International Student Support (ISS) is a dedicated support service for international students, providing specialist support and advice for all non-UK students from pre-arrival to graduation.

About the role

The postholder will develop, promote and deliver an online, telephone and in-person support and advice service for international students at UCL, supporting them from pre-arrival through to graduation. This includes, but is not limited to, providing information and advice on finances, healthcare, safety, academic and wellbeing support, transport, tax and working in the UK. They will update and deliver the annual Online Orientation Course for new students, represent ISS during the two intake periods in September and January, and consult where relevant on online and in-person orientation material and activities tailored to international students run by the Student Welcome and Induction Team. More generally, they will plan and deliver projects aimed at supporting the international student experience at UCL, helping to create an environment in which international students can perform to the best of their ability and achieve their full potential.

This is an exciting role, working with the small and vibrant SA/ISS teams within Student Support and Wellbeing Services and supporting the large international student population at UCL.

If you have any queries about the role, please contact Catriona Hanks at: c.hanks@ucl.ac.uk
