About the role

As a Front Office and HR Assistant you will undertake a period of practical learning in the Front Office and HR functions mainly at the Chadwick Building, Bloomsbury campus in central London. You will also spend part of your time in CEGE’s facilities on a monthly basis at CEGE’s laboratories in East London, Dagenham East: PEARL & CAVE as part of the standard operation. The role offers the opportunity to develop skills within the HR, front office, purchasing and finance operations in one of the top 10 Universities in the world.

The postholder will build positive working relationships within the wider university in order to provide a range services and administration, aiming to support the department’s operation, the visitors’, students’ and staff experience and work with the UCL processes and systems.

This role offers a career pathway to HR, finance or estates operations from the starting point of a Front Office and HR Assistant.

The role is eligible for hybrid working after successful completion of their probation, with a minimum 80% on site, at UCL Bloomsbury and PEARL campuses.

About you

In order to be successful as a Front Office and HR Assistant, you will need to have:

  • Excellent communication skills, with a high standard of written and verbal English
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and provide a friendly service to people at all levels
  • Professional and confident manner with a high standard of customer care and responsiveness
  • Strong organisational skills, gained through either previous work or Further Education, and the ability to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry and proofreading ability
