Job Summary:
The Sales Representative for Construction Equipment is responsible for generating leads, building relationships with vendors, and facilitating sales of cranes and construction hoists. This individual will work directly with construction sites, meeting with engineers, project managers, and purchasing managers to understand their equipment needs and offer tailored solutions. A valid driver’s license is required, and a company car will be provided for travel to and from job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit construction sites regularly to promote and sell tower cranes and construction hoists.
- Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, project managers, and purchasing managers.
- Gather contact information such as phone numbers of engineers or purchase managers for follow-up and sales opportunities.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations on-site to showcase the features and benefits of the equipment.
- Identify client needs and recommend appropriate products from the company's catalog.
- Follow up on leads, track sales progress, and negotiate terms to close deals.
- Coordinate with the company's logistics and service teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
- Provide post-sales support to resolve any issues with the equipment and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates in the company’s CRM system.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and client developments.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at construction sites.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment (cranes and hoists) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly to various construction sites.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic understanding of CRM tools to track sales activities.
