We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Safety Officer to join our team.
Job Duties:

• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Provide technical advice and coordination in line with the project OHS Plan, legislation and standards into workgroups as required/directed.
• Establish a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Company.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of project ERP (Emergency Response Plan).
• Delivery of project safety induction and other identified safety training.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
• Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
• Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
• Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.
• Assist in Managing the agenda for the Health & Safety Committee meetings. Ensure that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines.
• Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
• Participate in weekly/monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Qualifications:
Education:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree, Mechanical related knowledge is a plus

Experience:

• Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in mechanical/construction related industry in UAE
• Knowledge of heavy equipment/mobile plants etc.

Other Requirements:

• NEBOSH IGC
• IOSH Certification
• Knowledge in MS office
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting training and interacting with clients ( English and Hindi is a must, Arabic is a plus).
• Attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety risks.
• Problem-solving skills to analyze incidents and develop preventive measures .
