Licensed Dental Assistant
The function of Dental Assistant Position is to provide competent, age specific, developmentally, and specialty appropriate dental care by applying clinical knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients/families in accordance to the organization’s approved policies and procedures.
Responsible to provide direct and indirect care in the dental setting; communicates with physicians, nurse and head nurse, ancillary, and support as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general dental duties in all dental departments with adequate supervision with the established hospital wide, departmental and unit specific policies and procedures, protocols, etc.
MOH Eligibility and/or License IS REQUIRED.
