Dispatcher - Rental and Leasing of cars/ buses

1. Job Purpose:
Responsible for attending all transportation requests, allocation and timely dispatch of vehicles and drivers for trips and monitor, control their movements during the shift.
2. Main Accountabilities / Duties:
  • Assigns vehicles according to factors, such as length and purpose of trip, or passenger requirements, and preference of users.
  • Monitors arrival and departure times of drivers and vehicles manually or through fleet management systems and schedules substitute drivers and vehicles, as necessary.
  • Notifies shift supervisor of inoperative vehicles and absent/late coming drivers.
  • Contacts the concerned teams in case of vehicle accidents.
  • Monitors and informs shift supervisor of problems with routes and/or schedule.
  • Responds to enquiries regarding transportation schedules.
  • Assists with problems and responds to transportation complaints and to report them to duty shift supervisor for further follow up.
  • Maintains a variety of records and files related to transportation and performs varied duties as required, including data entry and preparing reports as required.
  • Coordination with drivers on their training schedules or any permit/document related matters.
  • Submit reports to shift supervisor when needed.
  • To perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.
Qualification Required:
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in UAE as a dispatcher/ logistic coordinator/operations officer.
  • Degree/Diploma holder preferably graduated in supply chain/logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English language both written and verbal.
