We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Specialist to join our team and lead our Logistics and Freight portfolio to new heights.
As a Senior Commercial Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing contracting and supplier strategies within the Logistics portfolio. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of commercial value release initiatives and ensure the security of service supply. You will offer specialist commercial leadership, supporting contract management through the execution of strategies tailored to the Logistics and Freight sectors.
Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
- B Degree (Hons) (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
6-8 years Relevant experience in supply chain or Logistics; specifically various modes of transport, clearing and forwarding, international freight and harbour support services. Contract management on a management level. Understanding of Enterprise Resources Planning and/or Cloud based procurement solutions (e.g. SAP MM, Coupa). (Essential/Minimum) Operational
REQUIREMENTS:
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Duties & Responsibilities
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):
Ability to:
- Develop and implement contracting and supplier strategies, commercial value release and security of service supply initiatives within the Logistics portfolio.
- To provide specialist commercial leadership and expertise within the Logistics and Freight portfolio and support to Contract Management with regards to execution of contract management strategy for allocated portfolio.
- To develop and maintain contracting strategies and contract lifecycle management for Logistics and Freight portfolio.
- To provide specialist commercial input on freight and/or transport mode strategies with associated contracting philosophies to effectively meet changing business requirements across all Exxaro business units.
- To provide a portfolio supervisory role in terms of contract vetting, resource allocation, people performance management and contract lifecycle management.
