Requirements
- B Degree in Property Studies, Town Planning, Law or a related field
- 8 years or more relevant experience in property management at
middle management level
- Knowledge of local government municipal functions and related
immovable property legislation and policies.
- Must be physically fit and able bodied in order to perform the
functions associated with the position, which may include site
inspections in respect of properties with difficult terrain.
- Computer proficiency: MS Office
- Valid EB/B Drivers licence
Key Performance Areas
- Independently leading and managing a portfolio of specific
specialised immovable property transactions of high economic,
social or environmental value
- Stakeholder management and engagement in order to guide and
influence decisions in respect of property transactions
- Applies a substantial body of professional knowledge coupled with
in depth experience to develop and implement a wide range of
projects, programs, systems, policies and practices in relation to an
immovable property transactions which could impact across several
departments in the organisation
- Manage the staff compliment of the team, the allocation of human
resources and the development of staff.
- Manage the performance of the team in order to ensure an
effective and optimal service to the Department
- Exercise financial management of complex property transactions
